About the project

Villa Romboli is a historic Art Nouveau mansion overlooking Bocca d’Arno, the port of Marina di Pisa, which after its integral restoration now houses inside it the sales office of Marina Development Corporation and a cafeteria open to the public.

The project was developed by architects Andrea and Massimo Pierattelli in collaboration with architect Delfina Cortese for the interior layout and with Land for the exteriors arranged as a garden.

The restoration work has safeguarded the historical value of the property and the original elements of the villa in a state of abandonment and uninhabited for over a century: the recovery of the exterior friezes and original floors, the recovery of the frescoes on the walls and vaults is delicately combined with the use of MATTEOBRIONI soft-colored natural finishing materials that together with the new lighting system and high-end furnishings enhance even more the beauty of the ancient dwelling.

Villa Romboli is the beginning of a project that will transform the Marina di Pisa area into a new tourist destination that will house 280 residences, 115 hotel rooms with swimming pool and spa, 20 commercial spaces, five restaurants, a conference center and a 15 thousand square meter public park, and a theater for events or conferences of at least 400 seats.
