Founded in 2019 by artist and designer Olga Niescier, the KALPA Art Living gallery is located within the historic Palazzo Bonomini in Volterra, Tuscany. Situated in Via Porta all’Arco, just steps away from the famous Etruscan gate, the space masterfully blends fascinating, timeless interiors with precious works of art.
The restoration project, launched in 2019, has gradually unveiled the ancient Tuscan walls, integrating local materials such as pietra panchina stone to recover the palace’s historical value and original atmosphere. Defined by a sophisticated ambiance, minimalist furnishings, and warm neutral tones, KALPA is a living stage where various art forms engage in a continuous dialogue. To ensure the healthiness of the environments, the gallery chose MATTEOBRIONI raw earth finishes: aesthetically pleasing surfaces, soft to the touch, capable of enhancing the authentic beauty of natural imperfection in a harmonious balance between art and the environment.
In 2022, KALPA expanded its exhibition path to the first floor and the underground spaces of Palazzo Bonomini, as well as to the Atelier in Via Porta all’Arco—a former alabaster studio now serving as a second gallery location.

In these spaces, MBTerra Natural Smooth (Fine-grained) finishing plaster in Panna was used to bring warmth and luminosity to the walls, alongside MBTerra Natural Coarse (Coarse-grained) plaster in Polvere and Sale Grigio variants. A unique sensory experience welcomes collectors and visitors from all over the world on a journey between Tuscan tradition and international creativity.
